Blick über den ruhig fließenden Canal Grande mit einigen Gondeln und einem Fischerboot auf die berühmte Basilika Santa Maria della Salute, unter hohem blauen Himmel mit leichten Wolkenformationen. Einige Staffagefiguren beleben das Ufer und den Treppenaufgang zur Kirche. Laut Expertise ist der Künstler inspiriert worden von Canaletto (1697-1768) und Michele Giovanni Marieschi (1696/1710-1743). Harmonische Malerei im weichen Licht der Sonne, in zurückhaltender Farbgebung.
