Pauline Bonaparte

In weißem Marmor die auf einer Recamière liegende Figur der Pauline Bonaparte. Das Bett wird hier durch einen geschnitzten und teilvergoldeten Holzsockel gebildet, der die Marmorfigur trägt, welche Pauline Bonaparte als siegreiche Venus zeigt. Fehlstellen.

Anmerkung 1:
Die angebotene Figur zeigt das bekannte Motiv, welches, von Antonio Canova (1757-1822) ausgeführt, aus der Villa Borghese bekannt ist. Dessen Skulptur wurde 1805-1808 geschaffen und zeigt die Lieblingsschwester Napoleons Pauline Borghese, italienisch Paolina Borghese (1780 in Ajaccio-1825 Florenz).
