1873 Palermo – 1969 Mentone/ Francia
Der Künstler war Schüler von Francesco Lojacono und Salvatore Marchesi. Bereits 1899 bekam er die Silbermedaille der Internationalen Weltausstellung, 1921 siedelte er nach Paris über, von wo er gelegentlich Reisen nach Tunesien unternahm. Werke seiner Hand befinden sich in öffentlichen Sammlungen in Paris, Rom, Mentone, Genua, Palermo und New York.

Noch kahler, stämmiger Baum in blühender Wiese, im Hintergrund ferner Hügelzug, der sich diesig in blauer Ferne hinzieht, darüber rötlicher Wolkenhimmel.Impressionistischer, pastoser Farbauftrag, der die flirrende Lichtstimmung künstlerisch gekonnt thematisiert.
Anmerkung:
Das Gemälde dürfte in der Schaffenszeit des Künstlers in Frankreich in den 1920er oder 1930er Jahre entstanden sein. (960987)
