Das auf ca. 1526 datierte Originalgemälde von Correggio wird im Louvre in Paris verwahrt (Inv.Nr. 41). Es wurde im Auftrag von Francesco Grillenzoni (Modena) gemalt und gelangte über die Sammlung des Kardinal Barberini und die Sammlung Mazarin in den Louvre. Kein Wunder also, dass das hochqualitative Gemälde viele Künstler einlud, einem so großen Vorbild wie Correggio nachzueifern. Minimal besch. (1290426) (3) (13)
