Aus einem einzigen massiven Jadeblock geschnitztes Pferd, in liegender Position, den Kopf nach hinten gerichtet. Dunkelgrünliche opaque Jade, wohl burmesischen Ursprungs, geschnitzt in China. Härtegrad der Jade zwischen 6 und 7. Passender Sockel aus Teakholz. (10805818) (15)

China, Qing Dynasty, early 19th century.
Reclining horse with its head arched backwards carved from a single solid jade block. Dark green opaque jade, probably Burmese and carved in China. The jade’s degree of hardness between 6 and 7. With matching teak base.
