In einer wohl eingerichteten Bauernstube sitzen drei junge Bauersfrauen. Eine von ihnen ist offensichtlich soeben von einem Jahrmarkt zurückgekommen und zeigt den anderen beiden soeben ein ihr geschenktes Jahrmarktherzl.

Anmerkung:
Neben dieser Version existiert eine weitere Version von 1890, deren Verbleib unbekannt ist und ein Entwurf von 1890 in der Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen (AK 131). (10618766) (13)
