Brustbildnis eines Mannes mit dunkler Kopfbedeckung nach rechts, in seiner rechten Hand vorsichtig ein rotes Weinglas nach oben haltend. Seinen Kopf hat er leicht gewendet und blickt mit seinen strahlenden Augen, seinem lächelnden, geöffneten Mund aus dem Bild auf den Betrachter heraus. Das Licht fällt von links aus nicht sichtbarer Quelle herein und bestrahlt die rechte Gesichtshälfte und die Hand des Mannes. Gekonnte Malerei mit besonders ausgeprägten Gesichtszügen und starker Hell-Dunkel Inszenierung. Teils Retuschen. (1270442) (18)

Half-length portrait of a man with dark headdress to the right, carefully holding up a red wine glass in his right hand. His head is slightly turned, his face shows bright eyes directed straight at the viewer and a slightly open, smiling mouth. The right half of the face and the man’s hand is lit by a hidden light source from the left. Skilful painting with exceptionally distinctive facial features and presented in strong chiaroscuro. Retouched in places.
