Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Capriccios oder Ruinendarstellungen Paninis und seines Kreises, sind hier die römischen Architekturversatzstücke weitgehend im Sinne der Antike unversehrt wiedergegeben. Im Zentrum ein großer Architekturrundbogen mit darüberstehendem Triglyphengebälk und bekrönender Balustrade sowie seitlichen großen Voluten, Sphinxfigur und Karyatiden. Im Bogen ein Brunnenbecken mit lagernder Steinfigur der Fortuna. Links daneben Ruine eines römischen Tempels mit runden Säulen und kannelierten Pilastern. Die Figurenstaffage locker eingefügt, ungewöhnlicherweise rechts ein zum rechten Bildrand hin ziehender Reiter. (1171651) (130800) (11
