79,5 x 60,8 cm.
Trägt Signatur und Datierung „1630“. Rückseitig rotes Siegel mit doppeltem Wappenschild.
Die erste Originalfassung befindet sich im Liechtenstein-Museum in den Maßen 76 x 60 cm unter der Inventarnummer „GI153“. Kopie nach dem genannten Gemälde von van Dyck.

Der Dargestellte in Antwerpen geboren, diente dem Statthalterpaar Isabella Clara Eugenia und Erzherzog Albrecht VII. als Agent für Kunstankäufe. Er wurde von Fernando, Kardinalintendant und neuer Statthalter 1635 zum Hofmaler und 1639 durch Philipp IV. als Maler des Königs ernannt. Das Gemälde wurde mehrfach in van Dycks „Ikonografie“, einer Sammlung von Stichen berühmter Persönlichkeiten vervielfältigt. Wohl alte Werkstattwiederholung.

Ehemals preussischer Adelsbesitz.
