An der Rückseite signiert “LF. ROUBILIAC”.
Die Dargestellte war die Gemahlin von König Friedrich I. von Preußen, Tochter Königs Georg I. von England, Schwester von König George II. und Mutter Friedrichs II. von Preußen. Die Königin in reifem Alter dargestellt, mit markanten Gesichtszügen. Die Büste zeigt den Ansatz der Ärmel, am Hals ein übergelegter, gefalteter Kragen, gebunden von einer Spitzenschleife, auf dem Haar ein Spitzenhäubchen. Milder Gesichtsausdruck mit leichtem Lächeln, die Augen sprechend, die Ähnlichkeit mit Bildnissen ihres Sohnes Friedrich des Großen tritt hervor. (760381)
