Kleines, blondgelocktes Mädchen an einem Tisch in stimmungsvoll wiedergegebener Zimmerecke auf einer Bank sitzend mit einem großen Lesebuch. Die Augen interessiert auf den Betrachter gerichtet. Neben ihr Strickzeug und Wollknäuel. Links im Hintergrund stillebenhaft mit Blumenstöcken, Fuchsien, Flasche und Vogelkäfig arrangierte Fensternische, durch die das Licht wirkungsvoll auf die Bildszenerie gerichtet wird. Um 1860/70.
Anmerkung:
Gemälde nach Johann Georg Meyr von Bremen (1813 Bremen - 1886 Berlin) von 1849. Die Darstellung geringfügig abgewandelt durch unterschiedliche Darstellung der Blumen im Hintergrund. (700774)
