Das Knäblein in dunklem Anzug mit kurzen Hosen und großem besticktem Kragen vor einer Balustrade mit Landschaftshintergrund stehend. Links ein Oleanderstrauch im Steintopf. In der linken Hand hält der Knabe eine abgebrochene Rose, wohl als sinnbildlicher Ausdruck für Goethes Verse: "Sah ein Knab ein Röslein steh´n....".
