Blick in einen alten Rittersaal mit einem hockenden Kreuzritter, wohl am Grabmal seiner Ahnen. Nach links fällt der Blick durch einen Spitzbogen auf eine bergige Landschaft mit Teilen der Burganlage, die vom Sonnenlicht teils beschienen wird. Romantische erzählerische Darstellung mit feiner Lichtführung. Teils rest.
Anmerkung:
Die Darstellung des vor einem Grab verharrenden Kreuzritters geht wohl auf eine Zeichnung des Caspar Scheuren (1810-1887) aus dem Jahr 1865 zurück. (1361425) (18)
