In Kopie anbei ein Gutachten von Ferdinando Arisi, in Kopie.
In einem Innenraum vor einem Gebäude, das aus verschiedenen Holzbalken besteht und mittig oben ein Rundfenster hat, über welches sich ein Zweig den Weg bahnt, zwei Männer im Begriff sich zu duellieren, unter Beobachtung eines dritten Mannes, der die Mitte der Komposition bildet und einen Dolch hält. Zwei weitere Figuren auf der rechten Seite, links ein Hund.
Kick war 1624 bis 1652 in Amsterdam tätig und Lehrer des Cornelis Kick (1634-1681). Soldaten oder Bewaffnete nehmen häufig die Hauptrolle in seinem Werk ein, wie es z.B. auch bei einem Gemälde im Museum Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf (Inv.Nr. 171) von 1637 der Fall ist. (1350841) (3) (13)
