Vor dunklem Grund, an einem Tisch, der den Betrachter anblickende Heilige, auf ein Buch weisend, welches den Schriftzug enthält „Timete Deum et date illi honorem quonia venit hora judici eius“. Vincenzo Ferreri wurde am 23.01.1350 in Valencia geboren und starb am 05.04.1419 in Vannes. Er war Dominikanermönch und wurde von Papst Calixt III 1455 heilig gesprochen. Calixt III, mit bürgerlichem Namen Alonso de Borja, wurde nämlich von Vincenzo Ferreri prophezeit, dass er einst den Stuhl Petri innehaben wird, was 1455 durch die Wahl zum Papst geschehen ist. Vincenzo Ferreri was born on 23.01.1350 in Valencia and died on 05.04.1419 in Vannes. He was a Dominican monk and was canonized by Pope Callixtus III in 1455. Vincenzo Ferreri had predicted Alfonso de Borgia would one day sit on Saint Peter’s Chair, which held true due to his election as Pope Callixtus III in 1455.
