Anthonius van Dyck,

Die Komposition, welche wir in vielfacher ähnlicher Überlieferung von van Dyck und aus dessen Werkstatt kennen, zeigt ein stark beleibtes schlafendes Christuskind, welches bar jeder Kleidung die Brust Mariens ergreift, welche in ihre typischen Gewandfarben gehüllt ist und gen Himmel blickt. Entsprechend seiner Bedeutung weniger beleuchtet und in den Hintergrund versetzt, steht Joseph am linken Bildrand. Es ist zu vermuten, dass der Künstler dieses Gemäldes aus dem Dunstkreis und vielleicht sogar aus der Werkstatt des van Dyck stammt. Rest.  (1201341)  (13)

The composition, which is renowned in multiple similar versions by van Dyck and from his workshop, shows a naked corpulent Christ Child holding the chest of the Virgin Mary. It can be assumed that the creator of this painting was from the circle or even workshop of van Dyck. Restored.
