Bidding forms

If you are unable to attend one of our auctions in person, you are welcome to bid in absentia. Please read through our conditions of auction carefully and our notes to buyers.

Information for bidders

Bidders submitting written or telephone bids must register before submitting. Bidders not previously known to us may be asked to provide securities or evidence of solvency. Please note the relevant notes in the forms and the instructions provided by our staff.

Written Bids (by post, email or fax)

Written bids must be submitted on fully completed forms as provided by us, and we must receive them no later than 24 hours before the start of the auction by post, email or fax. If there are several written bids at the same amount for the same work of art, the bid received first will be accepted if no other bid is subsequently submitted; if bids are received on the same day, lots are drawn to decide which will be accepted. You are asked to take note of the instructions on our forms.

Bids by telephone

Applications to bid by telephone must be made on fully completed forms as provided in the catalogue and on the Internet, and submitted no later than 24 hours before the start of the auction. Telephone bids are relayed by a person present in the auction hall; they can be recorded. By applying to bid by telephone, the bidder agrees to the recording being made. You are asked to take note of the instructions on our forms.

Transport and collection form for buyers

You as buyer provide us on this form the mode and manner in which the objects acquired by you should be dispatched and shipped.

Please also refer to our notes for buyers.
Our conditions of auction apply.
