Beide Titel rückseitig mit Porträt des Autors, Spalte 437 in 1 mit Abbildung eines Dolches, Spalten 125/126 in 2 mit Porträt der zehnjährigen Barbara aus Unna, die angeblich 13 Monate ohne Essen und Trinken ausgekommen war. Leicht gebräunt, vereinzelt minimal wurmstichig, Titelrückseite von 1 mit hs. Vermerk, Einband etwas berieben und bestoßen, vorderer Spiegel mit zeitgenössischem Kaufvermerk „constat 18 (Gulden) Jenae“, vorderes Vorsatzblatt mit Ausschnitt. Schönes Exemplar in dekorativem Einband.

He contended that the so-called lamiae or witches were persons whose minds had been deranged and imaginations corrupted by demons, but that they were not responsible for their actions and confessions any more then the insane, and that they were guilty neither of heresy nor entering voluntarily into pacts with the devil’ (Thorndike VI, 515ff., ausführlich).
