Schon seit dem 16. Lebensjahr zeichnet der junge Camille, dessen Vater ein Binnenschiffer war und dessen Beruf es mit sich brachte, dass Bombois seine Kindheit an Bord eines solchen Schleppkahns verbrachte. Schon bald ging er nach Paris und ab ca. 1925 konnte er von der Malerei leben. Rest.
