87 x 117 cm.
Rückwärtig auf der Leinwand besitzbezeichnet „Cte (Comte) Michel Boutourtin“ mit Datierung „1839“.
Des Weiteren auf dem Keilrahmen altes Besitzetikett des Grafen „C. J. Graaf von Limburg Stirum 14. April 1957“, mit maschinenschriftlicher Beschreibung.

Anbei eine Expertise von Anna Orlando vom August 2019, welche in ihrem Gutachten die Zusammenarbeit von Magnasco und Peruzzini erkennt, wobei sie die Landschaft Peruzzini und die Figurenstaffage Magnasco zuweist.
Gemeinschaftsarbeit der genannten Maler, von denen Magnasco das Figürliche, Peruzzini das Landschaftliche geschaffen hat.
In dunkle Töne getauchte Landschaft mit stark horizontal ausgerichteten Wolken, welche sich vor dem petrolblauen Himmel abzeichnen. Im Vordergrund drei Mönche, kreisrund angeordnet, das Weiß der Wolken in ihren Kutten wiederaufnehmend und sich somit vor den Laubbäumen des linken Mittelgrundes abzeichnend.

Inscription by previous owner “Cte (Comte) Michel Boutourtin” and date “1839” on the reverse.
Furthermore, typed label of a previous owner on stretcher: Count “C. J. Graaf von Limburg Stirum” 14 April 1957.
Expert´s report by Anna Orlando dated August 2019 enclosed. The report acknowledges the collaboration of Magnasco and Peruzzini, attributing the landscape elements to Peruzzini and the figure staffage to Magnasco.
Collaboration of the above mentioned painters, with Magnasco having painted the figures and the landscape having been painted by Peruzzini.
