Winterliche Flusslandschaft mit sich in die Bildfläche schlängelnde schlängelndem Weg, welcher partiell über eine Holzbrücke führt. Rückwärtig durch links hineingeschobene Felsversatzstücke, deren Nadelbäume sich wirkungsvoll gegen die kahlen Laubbäume im rechten Vordergrund absetzen. Die vorn liegende Weggabelung mit einem sich unterhaltenden Paar dekoriert. Typisch für Fidanza ist die Beleuchtung aus dem mittigen Hintergrund heraus, wo sich die durchschienenen Wolkenpartien von dem sie umgebenden Grau abzeichnen.

Anbei eine Expertise vom 18. Oktober 2014 durch Prof. Giancarlo Sestieri, welcher die angegebene Datierung als 1783 identifiziert. (1161271) (13)
