Betont längsrechteckig. Im vergoldeten Relief wird ein Triumphzug nach rechts dargestellt mit zahlreichen Figuren, Pferdeführern sowie einem, auf einem Wagen als Sieger stehenden, Helden mit Feldherrenstab. Im Hintergrund italienische Renaissancearchitektur. Thema, Größe der Darstellung sowie Ausführung weisen auf ein bedeutendes Ausstattungsstück in herrscherlichem Besitz hin. Die Truhe wurde wohl anlässlich eines Sieges der zahlreichen Stadtstaatenkriege in der Toskana des 15. Jahrhunderts angefertigt. Oben mittig Lochung des ehemaligen Truhenschlosses. Pastiglia- Technik auf Holz, die Vergoldung altersbedingt berieben bzw. nachgedunkelt mit schöner Alterspatina. (1082431) (11)

Relief in panoramic landscape format. The gilded relief depicts a right-facing triumphal procession with numerous figures, figures walking horses and a hero standing on a chariot and holding a commander‘s baton. The chest was probably originally created in celebration of a victory in one of the numerous wars of the city states in Tuscany during the 15th century. Pastiglia [pastework] low relief applied to panel, gilding slightly rubbed and darkened with beautiful aged patina.
