Dreiviertelporträt, der Herr in dunklem Anzug mit Weste und roter Krawatte auf einem Lehnstuhl sitzend, mit Lippenbart und Zwicker, eine Zigarre zwischen den Fingern der rechten Hand. Der Gesichtsausdruck sprechend, mit kritischem, leicht lächelndem Blick. Grünlich-beige-brauner Hintergrund.

Adolf Schiller war Glasfabrikant und Kunstsammler; die Kunstsammlung befand sich in seiner Stadtvilla in Berlin-Schöneberg (Abbildung in: Berliner Architekturwelt 1917, Band 19, S. 174ff.). Seine berühmte Sammlung antiker Gläser wurde 1929 bei Rudolph Lepke in Berlin verauktioniert (Auktionskatalog Rudolph Lepke, Sammlung Baurat Schiller, Berlin, Werke antiker Kleinkunst - Goldschmuck - Gläser - Tonfiguren - Tongefäße, 1929, mit 431 Nummern). Adolph Schiller was a glass manufacturer and art collector; his art collection was located in his town house in Schöneberg (illustrated in: Berliner Architekturwelt 1917, volume 19, pp. 174). His famous collection of antique glass was sold at auction at Rudolph Lepke in Berlin in 1929, (auction catalogue Rudolph Lepke, Sammlung Baurat Schiller, Berlin, Werke antiker Kleinkunst - Goldschmuck - Gläser - Tonfiguren - Tongefäße, 1929, comprising 431 lots).
