Das Haus, welches im Zentrum unseres Gemäldes stand an der Kreuzung der Rue Saint-Vincent und der Rue Mont-Cenis, wurde von Utrillo in mehreren seiner Werke festgehalten. Eine Straße läuft mit ihrer Randbebauung zur Mitte hin zu und kulminiert in einem weiß strahlenden Haus, dessen Fallrohr mit den dahinterliegenden Vertikalen der Bäume korrespondiert und dessen rotes Dach in seinem Giebel eine spitze Überhöhung darbietet. Montmartre war zu dieser Zeit eine unerschöpfliche Motivquelle für Künstler und bot mitunter idyllische Hausmotive, die im Laufe der Zeit Immobilienspekulationen zum Opfer fielen. (†)
