Der Künstler besuchte die Akademie der Schönen Künste in Neapel unter der Leitung von Gioacchino Toma sowie Maldarelli. Bereits 19-jährig nahm er an Ausstellungen teil, später zeigte er seine Bilder in München, Berlin oder Barcelona. Viele seiner Werke in bedeutenden privaten und öffentlichen Sammlungen, wie etwa der Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Torino.

Das Mädchen in weißem, kurzem Kleid und mit angezogenen Beinen zwischen unzähligen Blüten auf einem weißen Laken nach links liegend wiedergegeben. Den Kopf in die Hand gestützt, das anmutige Gesicht mit dunklen Augen und dunkelbraunem Haar, der Blick nach rechts gewandt. Pastoser Farbauftrag in spätimpressionistischer Malweise in sonniger Lichtstimmung, die Rosenblüten im Vordergrund naturalistisch, die Blüten im Hintergrund farblich bereits aufgelöst dargestellt.
