Die Gruppe stellt einen Genius in antiker Kleidung mit hochgestellten Flügeln dar, der in ein großes Buch mit Feder schreibt, das von einem sitzenden, alten, bärtigen Mann über den Schultern getragen wird. Er hält in der linken Hand ein Arbeitsbeil, sein Oberkörper entblößt, über die Hüften ein Tuch gebunden. Die allegorische Deutung ist nicht eindeutig geklärt, mit größter Wahrscheinlichkeit handelt es sich um die Darstellung aus einem größeren Zusammenhang, in der Bedeutung der Notierung der Arbeitskraft der duldenden und arbeitenden Menschheit. Feiner, exakt ausgeführter Bronzeguss mit mitgegossener, rechteckiger Plinthe. (9502447)
