Parallel zur unteren Bildkante verläuft eine Tischplatte, die sich kaum über den Bildrand erhebt. Auf dieser steht ein transparenter Champagnerkelch aus ge-schliffenem Glas. Er hält eine große, rosafarbene Blüte, deren grüner Stiel durch das Glas scheint. Auf ihr liegt der gesamte Fokus des Gemäldes. Den Hintergrund bildet eine graue Folie, die ein harmonisches Farbspiel mit dem Rosé der Blüte und dem Weiß von Glas und Tisch ergibt. (9401960)
