Roberto Gaetano Crippa,
1921 Monza – 1972 Mailand
Der Künstler besuchte die Accademia di Brera in Mailand. Zu Beginn seiner künstlerischen Laufbahn zeigen sich die Arbeiten beeinflusst durch Picasso und den Kubismus, später fand er seine eigene Bildsprache, die durch Spiralformen bestimmt und vom surrealistischen Automatismus inspiriert ist. Eingeladen durch Fontana trat Crippa der Künstlerbewegung Spazialismo bei. Er stellte mehrfach auf der Biennale aus und nahm an der Documenta 1 teil.
