Salvatore Fiume,
1915 Comiso, Sizilien – 1997 Mailand
Fiume erhielt eine grafische Ausbildung in Urbino. An 1946 wandte er sich verstärkt der Malerei zu. Er ist mit seinen Arbeiten in den bedeutendsten internationalen Museen wie der Eremitage in St. Petersburg, den Vatikanischen Museen, dem MoMA oder der Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Mailand vertreten.

Hinter Glas gerahmt.
In der rechten Bildhälfte steht aufrecht eine nach links gewendete, weibliche Figur. Sie blickt den Betrachter freundlich lächelnd an. Ihr Oberkörper ist entblößt und ein weiter Schleier umweht sie. Er legt sich wie eine Gold gemusterte Folie hinter ihre Erscheinung. Ihre Beine sind ebenfalls mit dem Stoff umwickelt, welchem der Künstler mit Farbe Kontur verleiht. Links im Hintergrund sind drei Damen in großen Kleidern zu sehen. Ihre Figuren gehen in den weiten Röcken unter und bilden einen starken Kontrast zu der freier wirkenden Zeinab.
