Die Wandung konkav nach innen gezogen, die Lippe leicht nach außen strebend. Die Vorderseite dekoriert mit Rundmedaillon. Darin die Darstellung der Venus auf gelbem Fond sowie die Signatur "Thyrica", also ein Aphrodisiakum. Mit reichem Ranken- und Blattdekor auf dunkelblauem, grünem und ockerfarbenem Fond. Die Schulter des Gefäßes mit Ranken- und Blattdekor in Gelb auf grünem Fond. Einwandfreier Zustand. Eine Abplatzung an der Lippe.

Rare albarello, studio Virgiliotto Calamelli
Height: ca. 25 cm.
Faenza, first half of the 16th century.

The wall concavely shaped inwards, the lip slightly curved out. The front is decorated with two round portrait medaillons. On yellow background depiction of Venus as well as the signature "Thyrica', indicating an aphrodisiac. Immaculate condition. One spalling on the rim.
