Adolfo Belimbau,
1845 Kairo – 1938 Florenz
Italienischer Maler, der sich in jungen Jahren in Livorno ausbildete und ab 1887 die venezianischen Ausstellungen beschickte, wobei Gemälde seiner Hand vom italienischen Königshaus angekauft wurden. Er beschickte 1893/ 94 Münchner Ausstellungen im Glaspalast.

Mit lachendem Mund und offenen Augen genießt sie das werbende Herankommen eines Jünglings mit modischem Lippenbart und einer Pfeife in der Hand. Wirkungsvolle Beleuchtung von links oben, wodurch das Haar, die Wange und das krause Schultertuch aufgehellt dargestellt werden und sich in der Glasur der Vase spiegeln. (870643)
