Auf einem blau gestreiften Sofa sitzt eine schwarz gekleidete, junge Frau, rechts daneben, etwas tiefer sitzend, ein Mädchen in apricotfarbenem Seidenkleid, die dabei ist einen Brief vorzulesen.
