Leicht überlebensgroß, mit Lockenhaar. Im Portraitstil der römisch-augustäischen Kaiserzeit. Bei dem Jüngling handelt es sich wohl um die Darstellung des Antinous (des Geliebten des Kaisers Hadrian), der bis in die Spätantike als Ideal jugendlicher Schönheit gefeiert wurde. Die Büste in leicht gelblich verfärbtem Marmor. Das wellige Haar dunkler patiniert, mit mehreren Bohrlöchern, in der Art antiker römischer Bildhauerkunst. Das Gesicht ebenmäßig geformt, fein geglättet und poliert. Büste auf weißem, rundgedrehtem Marmorsockel. (7900314)
