Bronzeguss nach einem Steinoriginal in grauem Granit, das sich im Louvre befindet, vom ägyptischen Fundort Abydos. Der jugendlich wiedergegebene Beamte an einer Stele aufrecht und frontal stehend, in langem, eng anliegendem Kleid, vor sich einen Schrein mit einer Osirisfigur haltend. Der linke Fuß vorgestreckt, der rechte zurückgenommen, um die schreitende Haltung zu demonstrieren. Am rückwärtigen Pfeiler umfangreiche und mehrteilige Inschrift in Hieroglyphen. Der Bronzeguss fein gearbeitet, dunkelbraun patiniert, entsprechend der Originalstatue, mit der rechteckigen Öffnung am Rückteil des Kopfes (wohl ehemals im Stein eingearbeiteter Falke).
Anmerkung:
Die Originalfigur wurde bereits zur Zeit J. F. Champollions, 1790 - 1832, dem Entzifferer der Hieroglyphen-Schrift gefunden, und in dessen "Sommaire" als "Peftamet" benannt. Die Originalfigur entstammt der 26. Dynastie unter dem König Apiris, 589 - 570 v. Chr., und König Amasis, 570 - 526 v.Chr.
