Rechts unten signiert und datiert "1876".

Extrem breitformatige Chiemseelandschaft mit links ansteigendem Hügel, von dem mehrere Kühe herabziehen, gefolgt von einem Hirten. Rechts Blick auf den Chiemsee mit Fraueninsel und dem dahinter liegenden Gebirgszug.

Anmerkung:
Der Maler gehörte in den engeren Kreis der "Chiemsee-Maler", war Schwager von Max Haushofer und Franz Ruben und im engsten verwandtschaftlichen Kreis der Chiemsee-Malerkolonie.
