Dort im Hintergrund Häusergruppe mit einem mächtigen, runden Burgturm vor der Kulisse blauer Berge, hinter denen das Abendlicht aufleuchtet. Rechts im Vordergrund ein großer Steinbrunnen am Waldrand, auf dem Sockel eine wasserspeiende Löwenmaske. Am Brunnen vier Frauenfiguren, zwei tragen Wasserkrüge auf dem Kopf. Auf dem Weg links hinten ein Wanderer. Stimmungsvolle Wiedergabe einer Ideallandschaft, die stilistisch bereits die sog. „arkadische“ Landschaft der späteren Malergeneration vorgreift. (722144)
