In moderner, eigenwilliger, nahezu symbolistischer Auffassung gehaltenes Heiligenbild. Der Märtyrer, nackt an einen Baum gebunden, mit Pfeilen durchbohrt, in einer Winterlandschaft, deren Kälte das Leid des Heiligen umso mehr betont. Am unteren Bildrand die abgelegten Kleider. Rechts, in einer tiefer liegenden Mulde, Häuser eines Dorfes. Auf einem Ast überhalb des Kopfes des Heiligen ein Rotkehlchen. (721611)
