Junge Frau mit Gitarre vor einer Pergola-Mauer sitzend, mit langem, blonden, gewellten Haar und dunklem Kleid. Rechts hinten Ausblick in italienische Landschaft. Der Einfluss von Böcklin und Mares ist im Gemälde deutlich spürbar.

Der Künstler der Karlsruher Schule wirkte 14 Jahre in Florenz und stand im Freundeskreis der bedeutenden Maler wie Hans von Marées sowie Adolf von Hildebrandt. (690165)
