Stimmungsvolle Landschaftswiedergabe in Spätlicht, das mit warmen Lichtstrahlen hinter dem leicht bräunlich verfärbten Eichenlaub der Baumgruppe hervorbricht, rechts im Bild in der Ferne niedrigeres Laubwäldchen mit Birken und hellgrünen Wipfeln. Im Vordergrund ein lichtbeschienener Weg, der nach rechts hinten führt, darauf ein auf einem Schimmel reitender Jäger mit einem Falken am Arm, begleitet von Jagdhunden sowie vorausgehenden Falkenjägern mit Lanze und erlegtem Geflügel.
