Fürstlicher Heiliger
Lindenholzskulptur des Heiligen auf mehrkantiger Bodenscholle stehend. Die schlanken, fein ausgearbeiteten Beine in schlanken Schuhen des 15. Jhtds. Die Skulptur in leicht S-förmigen Figurenaufbau über das Untergewand ein Übergewand mit reichem Faltenwurf. Das Haupt mit stark gelocktem, auf die Schulter fallendem Haar und Resten einer Krone. In der linken Hand hält er den Reichsapfel. Die rechte Hand fehlend. Abbrüche am unteren Gewandzipfel. Teile der originalen Fassung noch erhalten, sowie Reste von Vergoldung auf dem Gewand und dem Reichsapfel. H.: 96 cm. Süddeutschland, um 1480. Anmerkung: Die Figur wurde nach einem Kupferstich des Heiligen Sebastians des Meisters E.S. konzipiert, welcher sich nun im Kupferstichkabinett in Berlin befindet. Literatur: Vgl.
