ITALIENISCHE LANDSCHAFT MIT SCHÄFER UND SEINER HERDE Gebirgige Apenin-Landschaft mit kahlen Berggipfeln und bewaldeten Tälern, im Hintergrund auf einer Berganhöhe eine befestigte Stadt mit Burgtürmen, im Vordergrund zieht ein Schäfer mit seiner Herde einen Weg herauf. Sonnige Spätnachmittagsstimmung mit lockeren Wolken auf blauem Firmament. Öl/Malkarton, rechts unten signiert, verso bez. und dat. Rom 1843, sowie nochmalige Signatur des Künstlers, der längere Zeit in Italien gewirkt hat und durch seine italienischen Landschaften bekannt wurde. 34,5 x 47,5 cm.
