GOTTVATER VERTEILT DIE POSAUNEN DES JÜNGSTEN GERICHTES Ein ikonographisch höchst seltenes, daher bislang nicht eindeutig zu interpretierendes Thema, das Gottvater oberhalb eines mit Tuch bedeckten Altares (oder Sarkophags) zeigt dabei Posaunen den seitlich stehenden, geflügelten Cherobim zu geben. Zu jeder Seite sechs geflügelte Engelsgestalten auf Wolken. Im Vordergrund ein weiterer Engel der das Weihrauchfass schwenkt. Heller Lichtstrahlender Hintergrund. Das Haupt Gottvaters das von einem leuchtenden Dreieck hinterfangen, als Symbol der Dreifaltigkeit. Die Haare und Flügel der Engel in Muschelgold gemalt. Ebenso die Dekoration an der Altarvorderseite. Öl/Lwd. Doubliert. 45 x 52 cm. 16. Jhdt. (440561)
