Rechts unten auf der Steinplatte signiert und datiert „1845“. Rahmen mit Namensnennung des Künstlers.
In vergoldetem Kehlrahmen.

Auf naturalistisch gemalter Marmordeckplatte ein flacher Flechtkorb mit darin befindlicher Ananas, begleitet von roten Weintrauben und Weinlaub.
Jensen wurde an der Kopenhagener Akademie bei Claudius Detlev Fritzsch und Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg, sowie in Paris von Gérard und Cornelis von Spaendonck ausgebildet. Seinen großen Sammlerkreis begeisterte er vor allem mit seinen Stillleben; heute befinden sich seine Werke zum Beispiel im Statens Museum for Kunst sowie im Thorvaldsens Museum in Kopenhagen.
