Das eine Gemälde zeigt den Blick auf den Golf von Neapel mit ankernden Booten am Ufer und dem rauchenden Vesuv im Hintergrund. Das andere Bild zeigt die breite Straße mit der Villa Communale im Licht der Sonne. Beide Darstellungen mit belebter reicher Figurenstaffage, zu denen sich einige Kutschen gesellen. Stimmungsvolle Malerei in der typischen Manier des Künstlers.
Der in Neapel tätige Salvatore Candido wird zum Kreis der Maler um Giacinto Gigante (1806-1876) gezählt und vereinigte in seinen detailreichen Veduten aus der Gegend von und in Neapel Einflüsse der Vedutenmalerei des 18. Jahrhunderts. (1371241) (18)
