In der Lagune von Venedig ein großes teilüberdachtes Boot mit einer illustren Gesellschaft von Männern und Frauen. Im vorderen Teil des Bootes ein elegant gekleideter stehender Herr mit Zylinder, einen leuchtend roten Schirm haltend, ebenso wie eine Dame am Ende des Bootes mit einem gelblichen Schirm. Rechtsseitig ein weiteres kleineres Ruderboot auf dem ruhigen, türkis schimmernden Wasser unter hohem hellblauem Himmel mit weißer, teils rötlicher Wolkenformation. Am linken Bildrand ragt zudem ein Mast hervor. Dahinter am Horizont zwei weitere kleinere Segelschiffe erkennbar, während am rechten Horizontrand die Silhouette der Stadt erkennbar ist. Stimmungsvolle Malerei in der typischen Manier des Künstlers. (1330823) (18)
