In freier Landschaft in verkürzter Nahsicht Maria in rot-blauem Gewand, auf das nackte, auf einem Strohbett liegende blonde Jesuskind liebevoll herabschauend. Dabei hat sie ihre linke Hand fast spielerisch erhoben, während ihre Recht leicht zur Brust greift. Ihr Blick und auch ihr Handgestus wird von dem Kind erwidert.Im Hintergrund links, fast schemenhaft hinter Maria, ist Josef in beige-brauner Kleidung zu erkennen, der mit seinen dunklen Augen aus dem Bild herausschaut. Malerei in weicher Farbgebung. Retuschen, am unteren Rand teils berieben. (1291614) (18)
