Ein ähnlicher Stuhl wird in den British Galleries, Raum 122 im Victoria and Albert Museum, London, Inventarnummer CIRC.20-1961 ausgestellt.

Anmerkung 2:
Die Firma R. W. Winfield war auf Metallmöbel, besonders Betten, spezialisiert. Auf der Londoner Industrieausstellung von 1851 hatten sie unter anderem einen Schaukelstuhl ausgestellt und einen weiteren auf der Weltausstellung von 1862. Einen solchen Schaukelstuhl wird auch 1844 in dem Inventar von Charles Dickens (1812-1870) und seiner Frau Catherine im Esszimmer geführt. In dem Buch von Thomas Webster, An Encyclopaedia of Domestic Economy, 1845, wird ein eiserner Schaukelstuhl gar zur körperlichen Ertüchtigung empfohlen. (1260892) (13)
