Im Mittelpunkt ein Paar mit einem vollbeladenen Esel, der Körbe mit Gemüse trägt und dabei von einem Mann in roter Jacke angetrieben wird. Ihm zur Seite läuft eine Frau, die auf ihrem Kopf einen breiten Korb, ebenfalls mit Gemüse, trägt. Sie haben gerade eine Brücke über einen kleinen Fluß überquert, an der ein Händler mit roter Jacke und Korb auf dem Rücken sitzt, während ein weiterer Mann sich gerade die Schuhe bindet. Im Hintergrund die breite Straße einer Stadt, die rechtsseitig von einer Reihe von Giebelhäusern unter blauem Himmel gesäumt wird. Teils rest. (1250301) (1) (18)
