Auf einer hölzernen Platte vor braunen Hintergrund liegend ein großer Karpfen mit geöffnetem Maul und die Brustseite dem Betrachter zugewandt. Dahinter ein großer Hecht mit silbern schimmernden Schuppen, geschlossenem Maul und einem glänzendem braunen Auge, das aus dem Bild herausschaut. Beide liegen auf grünen Kräutern, bei denen es sich um Liebstöckel handeln könnte. Qualitätvolle Malerei des Künstlers, der Fische in seinen Gemälden mehrfach dargestellt hat. Zeitlich wird das Gemälde um 1720 eingeordnet. Rest.
Der Künstler schuf 1702 Fresken in der Kirche Santa Brigida in Piacenza, zahlreiche seiner Bilder befinden sich heute überwiegend in norditalienischen Museen.
