In Kavallierperspektive wird dem Betrachter die Landschaft einer südländischen Flussmündung vorgeführt, welche sich im Mittelgrund vor einer Küstenstadt ins Meer ergießt. Ganz der damals schon leicht antiquierten Luftperspektive verhaftet, schließt die Landschaft in einem blautonig gehaltenen Gebirgszug ab und suggeriert dem Betrachter so eine Tiefenwirkung.
